Center City is a small city in Minnesota, United States. It is the main town, or county seat, of Chisago County. In 2020, about 629 people lived there. A major road, U.S. Highway 8, goes right through the city.

History of Center City

Center City was officially planned in 1857. It got its name because it was located roughly halfway between Chisago City and Taylors Falls. A post office opened here in 1858, first called Centre City. The name was changed to Center City in 1893.
