Wyoming is a city located in Chisago County, Minnesota. It is a place where many people live and work. In 2010, the city had a population of 7,791 people. By 2020, this number grew to 8,032 residents.

A Look at Wyoming's History

Wyoming was officially planned and mapped out in 1869. This happened when the St. Paul and Duluth Railroad line reached this area. The city got its name from Wyoming Township, which is nearby.

A Notable Event from the 1930s

During the Depression Era, a famous event took place near Wyoming. In June 1933, a businessman named William Hamm was released here. He had been held for a ransom, which was paid. This event became a well-known story from that time period.
