Chalkyitsik (pronounced CHAL-key-IT-sick) is a small community in Alaska, United States. Its name comes from the Gwich'in language and means "to fish with a hook, at the mouth of the creek." This village is located on the south bank of the Draanjik River (also known as the Black River), about 45 miles northeast of Fort Yukon. In 2020, only 56 people lived there.

Chalkyitsik is located in a remote part of Alaska at 66°39′6″N 143°43′38″W / 66.65167°N 143.72722°W / 66.65167; -143.72722. The area covers about 8.7 square miles (22.69 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, with a small amount of water from rivers and lakes. The village is situated far north, close to the Arctic Circle.
