Charlie Barnett, born on February 4, 1988, is an American actor. He is well-known for playing Peter Mills, a firefighter and paramedic, in the TV show Chicago Fire from 2012 to 2015. More recently, he played Yord Fandar in The Acolyte on Disney+.
He has also had important roles in other popular shows. These include Alan Zaveri in the Netflix comedy series Russian Doll, Ben Marshall in the Netflix series Tales of the City, and Gabe Miranda in the Netflix thriller series You.

Early Life and School
Charlie Barnett and his sister were adopted by Bob and Danee Barnett. His adoptive mother is from Utah, and his adoptive father builds boats in Minnesota. Charlie grew up on a sailboat near Longboat Key in Florida until he was seven years old.
He discovered acting and theater when he was six. He performed in many operas and musicals with the Sarasota Youth Opera. Charlie went to Booker High School. He also took part in a summer program for musical theater at Carnegie Mellon University. After high school, Charlie attended the Juilliard School, a famous performing arts school. He finished their drama program in 2010.

Chicago Fire and Early Roles
From 2012 to 2015, Charlie starred as Peter Mills in the NBC action-drama TV series Chicago Fire. This role made him very well-known.
In 2017, he was cast as Ian Porter in The CW series Valor.
Netflix Shows and Other Appearances
In 2018, Charlie got a main role as Alan Zaveri in the Netflix series Russian Doll. In the same year, he also played Ben Marshall in the Netflix miniseries Tales of the City.
In 2019, he joined the second season of the Netflix thriller You as Gabe Miranda. In July 2019, Charlie also joined Arrow for its eighth and final season. He played John Diggle, Jr. His role was announced at a big event called Comic-Con.
Personal Interests
Charlie enjoys sailing and playing the classic video game Ms. Pac-Man. He also likes classic cars. He is a fan of the White Sox baseball team and the Chicago Bears football team.
Throughout his career, Charlie has lived in different cities. These include New York City, Salt Lake City, and Chicago. While filming Chicago Fire, he lived with his co-stars Joe Minoso and Yuri Sardarov. He currently lives in Los Angeles.
