Cleotha "Chico" Walker (born November 25, 1957) is an American former professional baseball player. He was known as a utility player, meaning he could play many different positions. Chico played for four teams in Major League Baseball (MLB) over 11 seasons, from 1980 to 1993. He was about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighed around 170 pounds. He was a switch hitter, which means he could bat (hit the ball) with both his left and right hands. He threw the ball with his right hand.

Chico Walker's Baseball Career
Chico Walker was famous for being able to play many different positions on the baseball field. He played at least 40 games at five different spots during his time in MLB. These positions included third base, second base, and all three outfield positions (left, center, and right field). This made him a very valuable player for any team.
Best Season in MLB
His most successful season was in 1992. That year, playing for both the Chicago Cubs and the New York Mets, he had a combined batting average of .289. He also had 38 RBI (runs batted in) in 126 games. These were his best numbers ever in a single MLB season.
Playing in the Minor Leagues
Before and during his time in MLB, Walker also spent 19 seasons playing in Minor League Baseball. In the minor leagues, he had a batting average of .269. He hit 154 home runs and had 725 RBI in 1646 games. This shows he played a lot of baseball throughout his career!
Playing Around the World
Besides playing in the United States, Chico Walker also played baseball in other countries. He played in Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, and Puerto Rico. After his playing career, he even became a manager for a team called the Cook County Cheetahs in 1999.
The Longest Baseball Game Ever
While playing for the Triple-A Pawtucket Red Sox, Chico Walker was part of a very special game. It was the longest game in professional baseball history! This incredible game lasted for 33 innings. It took place over two different months and involved eight hours and 25 minutes of playing time.
Most of the game, 32 innings, was played on April 18–19, 1981, at McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. The Rochester Red Wings were tied with the Red Sox, 2–2. The final 33rd inning was played much later, on June 23. In the end, Pawtucket finally won the game with a score of 3–2.
