Choi Chung-min (Hangul: 최정민; Hanja: 崔貞敏; born August 30, 1930 – died August 8, 1983) was a famous football player and manager from South Korea. People called him the "Golden Legs" because he was an amazing striker. Many thought he was one of Asia's best football players in the 1950s.

Early Life and Career Start

World Cup Qualifiers

In 1954, South Korea traveled to Japan to play important matches. These games were to decide which team would go to the 1954 FIFA World Cup. The South Korean team felt a lot of pressure. This was because Japan had ruled Korea until 1945, and people really wanted their team to win. Choi scored three goals in these two matches. South Korea won against Japan with a total score of 7–3 and made it to the World Cup!
