Combes is a small town in southern Texas, United States. It is located in Cameron County. In 2020, about 2,999 people lived there.
Combes is part of two larger city areas. These are the Brownsville–Harlingen–Raymondville and the Matamoros–Brownsville metropolitan areas.

Where is Combes Located?
Combes is in the northwestern part of Cameron County. It is at coordinates 26°14′42″N 97°43′37″W / 26.24500°N 97.72694°W.
A major road, U.S. Route 77 (also known as Interstate 69E), goes through the town. This road leads south about 4 miles (6 km) to Harlingen. It also goes north about 18 miles (29 km) to Raymondville.
Combes is the last town on U.S. 77 and Interstate 69E in Cameron County when you travel north. After Combes, you enter Willacy County.
Another important road, Texas State Highway 107, starts in Combes. It goes west about 6 miles (10 km) to Santa Rosa. It continues even further west to Edinburg, which is about 29 miles (47 km) away.
The United States Census Bureau says that Combes covers a total area of about 3.2 square miles (8.3 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, with a small part being water.
