Playing for Nebraska
Courtney Love started his college football journey at the University of Nebraska. He joined the team in 2013. In 2014, he played in a few games. He made 6 tackles for his team.
After his coach left Nebraska, Courtney decided to move. He transferred to the University of Kentucky. He wanted to be closer to his grandmother. He also knew some of the coaches there.
Playing for Kentucky
When he moved to Kentucky, Courtney had to wait a year. This is a common rule when players transfer between colleges. So, he could not play in the 2015 season.
Even though he couldn't play, Courtney was still important to the team. In 2016, his coach, Mark Stoops, chose him to attend a big media event. This was special because Courtney hadn't even played a game for Kentucky yet! He was also one of the players who showed off the team's new uniforms. Everyone saw him as a leader for the Wildcats' defense.
In 2017, Courtney Love won the Wuerffel Trophy. This award goes to a college football player. It honors someone who is great at community service. They also need to be good at sports and school. Courtney finished his time at Kentucky with 168 tackles. He also recovered 3 fumbles and forced 1 fumble.
Coaching Career
After he finished playing football, Courtney Love became a coach. In 2018, he started working as a graduate assistant for the Kentucky team. In 2019, he got a promotion. He became the director of player development. In this job, he helps players improve their skills.

Courtney was matched with a boy named Antonio McKinney. They quickly became good friends. Courtney spent time with Antonio between his football practices and classes.
