Craigmyle is a small community in Alberta, Canada. It is known as a hamlet, which is a type of small settlement. Craigmyle is located within Starland County, found between the towns of Delia and Hanna.
The name "Craigmyle" was chosen in 1912 by the Canadian Northern Railway. This happened before the train even arrived in April 1914. People say the name comes from an old estate in Scotland. Craigmyle used to be a village, which is a slightly larger type of community. However, on January 1, 1972, it officially became a hamlet.
