Cyriak Harris, born on September 19, 1974, is a talented English animator, artist, composer, and author. He is known by his first name, Cyriak. He also uses the names Mutated Monty and Mouldy online. Cyriak creates unique and imaginative short animations for the internet. He often uses a special visual trick called the Droste effect in his work. He lives in Brighton, England.

Cyriak's Creative Animations

Cyriak started sharing his work on the British website B3ta in 2004. He launched his own YouTube channel in March 2006. On his channel, you can find many of his unique animations. These videos became very popular across many online blogs and websites. Even Wired magazine noticed his creative style.

Cyriak uses special software like Adobe After Effects and FL Studio to make most of his videos. One of his animations, called "MOO," was even shown on the front page of Wired. In 2009, he made a funny video called "poo pants." It featured a cartoon version of broadcaster Alan Titchmarsh singing a silly song.

As a freelance animator, Cyriak has worked for different clients. He created animations for the video sharing website Sumo TV. He also made a music video for the band Grand Popo Football Club.

His animations have appeared on TV shows too. He made the "Spaceology" and "Goth to Boss" animations for the TV series The IT Crowd. In 2015, he designed the opening credits for the Netflix show W/ Bob & David.

Cyriak has directed many music videos for famous artists. These include "Cirrus" for Bonobo and "Ratchet" for Bloc Party in 2013. He also directed "Putty Boy Strut" for Flying Lotus in 2014. In 2016, he made "Meowpurrdy" for Run the Jewels. More recently, in 2020, he directed "The Existential Threat" for Sparks. Some of his most watched videos are "Baaa" and "meow mix," each with over 100 million views. Other popular videos include "Welcome to Kitty City," "Cycles," and "7 billion."

Music and Other Projects

Before Cyriak became known for his animations, he also created a lot of unique music.

In August 2008, he shared a music video for the song "My Territory" by Grand Popo Football Club. He also created a video that explained how British illusionist Derren Brown might have "predicted" Lottery numbers in 2009. This video became very popular, getting half a million views quickly.

Cyriak has also shared his knowledge at creative events. He spoke at "Flash on the Beach" in Brighton in 2010. He also appeared at "Reasons to be Creative" in Brighton in 2014.

He is also a fan of video games! In December 2013, Cyriak released a special addition, called a mod, for the classic game Doom II. This mod was named "Going Down." In August 2022, he released another Doom II mod called "Overboard."

In March 2018, Cyriak began working on a book called Horse Destroys the Universe. Many people helped fund this project. The book was published in September 2019. It tells the story of scientists who experiment on a horse named Buttercup. The horse becomes super-intelligent, leading to a big conflict. This conflict eventually causes the universe to be destroyed.

Cyriak also performs his music live. In February 2020, he performed as a disc jockey (DJ) for the first time. This event took place at the Zanzibar Club in Liverpool.
