Cyriak Harris, known simply as Cyriak, is a creative artist from England. He is an animator, musician, and author. Cyriak is famous for his unique and sometimes strange short videos online. These videos often use a cool visual trick called the Droste effect, where an image repeats inside itself. He also uses the usernames "Mutated Monty" and "Mouldy" online.

Amazing Animations

Cyriak started sharing his work on the British website B3ta in 2004. He launched his own YouTube channel in March 2006.

Popular Online Videos

Cyriak's YouTube channel shows many of his animations. These videos became very popular on the internet. Many of his videos are made using special computer programs like Adobe After Effects and FL Studio. One of his animations, called "MOO," was even featured on the front page of Wired magazine.

Animations for TV and Music

As a freelance animator, Cyriak has created videos for different companies. He made animations for the TV series The IT Crowd. In 2015, he created the opening credits for the Netflix show W/ Bob & David.

Cyriak has also directed many music videos for popular artists. These include videos for Bonobo's "Cirrus" and Bloc Party's "Ratchet" in 2013. He also made videos for Flying Lotus's "Putty Boy Strut" in 2014 and Run the Jewels’s "Meowpurrdy" in 2016. His videos "Baaa" and "meow mix" have been watched over 100 million times. Other popular videos on his channel are "Welcome to Kitty City," "Cycles," and "7 billion."

Music Videos and Explanations

In 2008, Cyriak uploaded a music video for the song "My Territory" by Grand Popo Football Club. This video shows a landscape made from a woman's body. In 2009, a British illusionist named Derren Brown claimed to predict the National Lottery numbers live on TV. Cyriak uploaded a video explaining how this trick might have been done. This video got half a million views in just one week.

Video Games and Books

In December 2013, Cyriak released a special addition, called a "mod," for the classic video game Doom II. This mod was named "Going Down."

In March 2018, he began working on a book called Horse Destroys the Universe. This book was partly funded by his fans. It was published in September 2019. The story is about scientists who experiment on a horse named Buttercup. The experiments give the horse super intelligence, and it eventually becomes an all-powerful being that destroys the universe.

In August 2022, he released another Doom II mod called "Overboard."

Live Music Performances

On February 8, 2020, Cyriak performed his music live for the first time. He was a disc jockey at the Zanzibar Club in Liverpool.

Awards and Recognition

Cyriak has received several awards for his creative work.

In December 2009, he won the E Stings competition run by the TV channel E4. He won £5,000 for his video Recursive Culture.

In 2006, he also received a special mention in a Photoshop contest held by the technology TV show Click.

He has won several Cacowards, which are awards for the best modifications of the Doom video game. He won in 2012 and 2014 for his amazing level designs and clever technical skills. In 2022, he won another Cacoward for his mod "Overboard," which was praised for being silly and having fast-paced gameplay.
