Urales Vargas (born March 15, 1980), who is known by his stage name DJ Buddha, is an American DJ, record producer, and music expert. He is from Lawrence, Massachusetts.
As a successful person from Lawrence, Buddha was honored in 2015 by being added to the Lawrence Boys & Girls Club's Hall of Fame.

Career in Music
Mixing Music Styles
DJ Buddha became famous for mixing different kinds of music together. He combined American styles like hip hop and R&B with music from other cultures, such as Jamaican reggae and Latin music.
He created a popular mixtape series called "Caribbean Connection." These mixes blended Dancehall reggae and reggaetón music. The mixtapes were a huge hit and were written about in famous magazines like Rolling Stone, The New York Times, and on MTV.com.
Thanks to his unique sound, DJ Buddha has performed for audiences all over the world. In 2011, he released a mix album called "Ultra.Latino," which quickly became the #2 Latin album on iTunes.
Working with Famous Artists
As DJ Buddha became more well-known, he started working directly with famous musicians. He began by making music with reggae artist Mighty Mystic and the group T.O.K., even becoming their official DJ for about six years. Collaborations with Pitbull
DJ Buddha is famous for his work with the rapper Pitbull. In 2004, he created a remix of Daddy Yankee's hit song "Gasolina" that featured Pitbull and N.O.R.E.. The remix was a massive success. Soon after, DJ Buddha became Pitbull's official DJ, touring with him for six years.
Together, they worked on many hit songs. Some of their most famous projects include:
- "Back in Time": The theme song for the movie Men in Black 3.
- "Bad" Remix: For the 25th anniversary of Michael Jackson's famous album, DJ Buddha helped create a remix with Pitbull and Afrojack.

More Recent Work
In 2016, DJ Buddha was the music supervisor for the movie King of the Dancehall (film), directed by Nick Cannon. This means he was in charge of choosing the music for the film.
