Daniel Robert Middleton (born 8 November 1991), known online as DanTDM, is a popular British YouTuber, gamer, and author. He is famous for his "Let's Play" videos, especially those featuring games like Minecraft, Roblox, Pokémon, and Five Nights at Freddy's.
DanTDM started his YouTube channel in 2012. As of 2024, his main channel has over 29 million subscribers and 19 billion views. This makes him one of the biggest content creators on YouTube. He began by making Minecraft videos and later added other games and vlogs.
Beyond YouTube, DanTDM has written a graphic novel. He also voiced a character in the UK version of the movie Ralph Breaks the Internet. He has even gone on world tours with live shows for his fans. In 2016, he earned a spot in the Guinness World Records Gamer's Edition. This was for having the "Most views for a dedicated Minecraft video channel."

About DanTDM's Life
Daniel Robert Middleton was born on 8 November 1991 in Aldershot, England. He is the older of two children. He studied music production at the University of Northampton. Before becoming a YouTuber, he worked at a store called Tesco. He once told the BBC that his wife encouraged him to focus on YouTube when he started earning enough money from it.
Dan married his girlfriend, Jemma, in March 2013. They have two sons: Asher, born in January 2020, and Miles, born in November 2022. Dan has shared with his viewers about facing challenges with his mood during the time of the COVID-19 lockdowns.
On 6 September 2023, Dan shared sad news on his social media. His dog, Ellie, had passed away unexpectedly. The next day, he posted a video on YouTube titled "goodbye ellie" to honor her.
DanTDM's YouTube Journey
In 2012, Daniel Middleton started his first gaming channel called TheDiamondMinecart. In 2014, he joined Maker Studios, a company that helps YouTubers. He later changed his channel's name to TheDiamondMinecart // DanTDM. On 12 December 2016, he officially changed it to DanTDM. He now makes his videos from his home studio in Wellingborough. While his videos are mostly for kids, many teens and adults enjoy them too.
