Beyoncé concert chronology |
The Dangerously in Love Tour was the very first solo concert tour by American singer Beyoncé. This tour was all about showing off songs from her first solo album, Dangerously in Love, which came out in 2003. But it wasn't just about her new solo music! The show also included a special part dedicated to her famous girl group, Destiny's Child. Plus, she sang songs from her 2003 movie, The Fighting Temptations.
The stage for the tour was quite simple. It had a big LED screen at the back. This screen showed cool videos of Beyoncé and her dancers. It also played clips from her music videos and some special pre-recorded images. The Dangerously in Love Tour only happened in Europe. One of Beyoncé's performances, at the Wembley Arena in London, was even filmed! This recording was later released as a CD and DVD called Live at Wembley in 2004.

About the Tour: How it Started
The Dangerously in Love Tour was Beyoncé's first time touring by herself. Before this, she was famous as part of the group Destiny's Child. This tour was planned to feature songs from her first solo album, Dangerously in Love, which she released in 2003.
However, Beyoncé also made sure to include some fan favorites. The show had a special section where she sang songs from her time with Destiny's Child. She also performed songs like "Fever" and "Summertime" from her movie The Fighting Temptations.
The stage setup was not too fancy. It had a large LED screen at the back that could move up and down. This screen showed videos of Beyoncé and her dancers, clips from her music videos, and other cool images with special effects. There was also a small staircase and platforms on the sides for her band members. After this tour, Beyoncé joined other famous artists like Missy Elliott and Alicia Keys for the Verizon Ladies First Tour in North America in 2004.
Live at Wembley: The Concert DVD
On November 10, 2003, Beyoncé performed a concert at the Wembley Arena in London. This special performance was recorded and later released as a DVD called Live at Wembley. It came out in April 2004.
The Live at Wembley package was more than just a DVD! It also included a CD with three brand-new songs that had never been released before. Plus, it had special remixed versions of her hit songs "Crazy in Love", "Baby Boy", and "Naughty Girl". The DVD also let fans see behind-the-scenes footage, showing what it was like backstage.
This album was quite popular. It sold 45,000 copies in its first week and reached number seventeen on the Billboard 200 music chart. The DVD earned a "double platinum" award from the Recording Industry Association of America. This means it shipped over 200,000 copies! By October 2007, it had sold 264,000 copies in the US. Even famous American singer Miranda Lambert said in 2007 that Beyoncé's Live at Wembley show inspired her own live performances.
