Darrelle Shavar Revis (born July 14, 1985) is a former American football player. He was a cornerback in the National Football League (NFL) for 11 seasons. Many people think Revis is one of the best cornerbacks ever.
He played for the New York Jets for most of his career. Because he was so good at stopping the best players on other teams, his part of the field was called "Revis Island". This meant that no one could catch a pass when he was covering them!
Revis played college football for the Pittsburgh Panthers. The Jets picked him in the first round of the 2007 NFL draft. He also played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New England Patriots, and Kansas City Chiefs. During his career, he went to seven Pro Bowls and was named a first-team All-Pro four times. He won Super Bowl XLIX with the Patriots. In 2023, he was added to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
