Dedrick Allen Dodge, born on June 14, 1967, is a former American football player. He played as a safety in the National Football League (NFL) for eight seasons, from 1991 to 1998. He played college football for the Florida State Seminoles.

Dodge is a two-time Super Bowl champion. He won Super Bowl XXIX with the San Francisco 49ers and Super Bowl XXXII with the Denver Broncos. He also played for the London Monarchs in the first season of the World League of American Football (WLAF). The London Monarchs won the first World Bowl that year. This means Dodge has three professional football championship rings! After his playing career, he became a coach.

Early Life and High School Football

Dedrick Dodge played high school football in two different states. He played at East Brunswick High School in East Brunswick, New Jersey. He also played at Mulberry High School in Mulberry, Florida.

Professional Football Career

Dedrick Dodge played for several teams during his time as a professional football player. He started with the Seattle Seahawks in 1990. He then played for the London Monarchs in 1991 and 1992. He returned to the Seattle Seahawks for the 1991 and 1992 seasons.

Super Bowl Wins

Dodge joined the San Francisco 49ers in 1994. With the 49ers, he won Super Bowl XXIX. Later, he played for the Denver Broncos in 1997. He helped the Broncos win Super Bowl XXXII. These two Super Bowl victories are major highlights of his playing career. He also played for the Carolina Panthers and San Diego Chargers in 1998.

Coaching Career

After his time as a player, Dedrick Dodge began a career in coaching. He has coached at both high school and college levels.

High School Coaching

Dodge spent two seasons as the head football coach at Mulberry Senior High School. Before that, he coached at Evangel Christian in Lakeland, Florida. In 2005, he led Evangel Christian to an 11–3 record. They also won a state title that year. After Evangel Christian closed, he coached at Victory Christian. He led the Storm to a 10–4 record. Victory Christian finished as state runner-up in 2005. They lost to Tallahassee FAMU in the 1B state title game.

College Coaching

Dodge has also coached at the college level. He coached at Fort Valley State University as an assistant coach. He has maintained a home in Locust Grove, Georgia, since 2007. This town is about 30 miles south of Atlanta. In 2022, Dodge moved out of Georgia. He became the safeties coach at Grambling State. He has remained in that position since then.
