Diana Konstantinovna Borisova (born March 21, 1997) is a retired Russian rhythmic gymnast. She was a champion in group rhythmic gymnastics. Diana won gold medals at the World Championships and the 2015 European Games. She also won a junior European championship in 2012.

Diana Borisova's Gymnastics Journey
Early Career as a Junior Gymnast
Diana Borisova joined the Russian national team in 2008. She started her gymnastics career as an individual athlete. Her first coach was Marina Kaliuzhnaya. In 2009, she began training with Vera Shatalina. Coach Shatalina also trained other famous gymnasts like Dina Averina and Arina Averina.
Diana had a very successful junior career. In 2011, she won a silver medal in the all-around competition at the Russian Junior Championships. She also won gold medals in hoop at the 2012 Pesaro and 2012 Kyiv Junior World Cup events. At the 2012 European Junior Championships, Diana won two gold medals. She won one for her hoop routine and another with the Russian junior team. Her teammates included Yana Kudryavtseva, Julia Sinitsina, and Aleksandra Soldatova.
Becoming a Senior Group Gymnast
Diana Borisova became a senior gymnast in 2013. She finished 7th in the all-around at the 2013 Russian Championships. Later that year, she started training as a group rhythmic gymnast. She joined the Russian National group, taking the place of an injured teammate, Alina Makarenko. Diana began competing with the Russian Group in the 2013 World Cup series.
In 2014, Diana was part of the Russian Group at the European Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan. They won gold medals in the Group all-around and in the 2 Ribbons / 3 Balls routine. They also earned a silver medal in the 10 Clubs routine. At the 2014 World Championships, the Russian Group placed 4th in the all-around. However, they won a gold medal in the 2 Ribbons / 3 Balls event.
Major Wins and Retirement
In 2015, Diana Borisova had an ankle injury and missed the start of the season. She returned to compete at the 2015 Pesaro World Cup. Diana was a key member of the Russian Group that competed at the first-ever 2015 European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan. There, they won gold medals in both the Group All-around and the 5 Ribbons routine.
The Russian Group, with Diana, continued their success. At the 2015 World Cup Budapest, they won gold in the Group all-around and 5 Ribbons. They also took a bronze medal in the 6 Clubs / 2 Hoops event. At the 2015 World Cup series in Kazan, Diana and her teammates won gold in the Group all-around. They also won gold in the 5 Ribbons and 6 Clubs + 2 Hoops event finals.
From September 9 to 13, 2015, Diana competed at the 2015 World Championships in Stuttgart. Along with her teammates Sofya Skomorokh, Daria Kleshcheva, Anastasia Maksimova, Anastasiia Tatareva, and Maria Tolkacheva, she won the Group all-around title. This was a big achievement, as it was the first time the Russian Group had won this title since 2007. In the event finals, Diana's group also won a silver medal in the 5 Ribbons routine.
Diana Borisova ended her gymnastics career in 2016.
