The Division of McMillan was a special area in the Australian state of Victoria. It was one of the areas that elected a person to represent its people in the Australian House of Representatives, which is part of Australia's Parliament. This division covered the western part of a region called Gippsland.
It included many towns like Drouin, Moe, Pakenham, Trafalgar, Warragul, and Wonthaggi. It was actually the most southern electoral division on the Australian mainland!
The Division of McMillan was created in 1949. It was named after Angus McMillan, who was one of the first European explorers to travel through the Gippsland region. This division stopped existing in 2019 and was replaced by a new one called the Division of Monash.
In 1972, a politician named Arthur Hewson won the election for this area with a very small number of first-choice votes (only 16.6%). This was the lowest number of first-choice votes for any winning candidate in any federal election in Australia's history!
