Donnelly is a small city located in Valley County, Idaho, in the United States. In 2010, about 152 people lived there.
Donnelly is found in the beautiful Long Valley, right on the northeast side of Lake Cascade. It's located between two other important cities in the county: McCall is about 13 miles (21 km) north, and Cascade is about 16 miles (26 km) south. You can reach both by using Highway 55. The Tamarack Resort, a popular place for fun, is just across the lake to the southwest. Donnelly got its name from an important railroad worker and became an official city in 1914.
Donnelly is also famous for being the home of the Donnelly Show Ski Team. This team, started in 2008, is known around the world for its amazing water ski shows!

Roads and Travel
SH 55 - Payette River Scenic Byway
Donnelly is about 85 miles (137 km) north of Boise, Idaho's capital city. You can get there by taking State Highway 55. This road is also known as the Payette River Scenic Byway because it's a very beautiful drive.
The scenic byway starts near Eagle and follows the exciting whitewater of the Payette River. It passes through towns like Horseshoe Bend and Cascade before reaching Donnelly. Highway 55 continues north to McCall, then turns west towards New Meadows, where it connects with US-95.
