Dorénaz is a charming small town, also known as a municipality, located in the beautiful Valais region of Switzerland. It is part of the Saint-Maurice district. This area is known for its stunning mountains and valleys.

History of Dorénaz

Dorénaz has a long history! It was first mentioned in old writings way back in the 11th and 12th centuries. Back then, it was known by a slightly different name: usque ad frontem Dorone.
