Andre "Dre" Allen, born on April 18, 1975, is an American artist who does many things! He's an actor, a singer, a songwriter, and even directs music videos and produces them. Dre Allen grew up in the Bay Area of California. He was also a founding member of a popular 1990s music group called IV Xample. Their first album, For Example, sold over 500,000 copies around the world, thanks to their hit song "I'd Rather Be Alone".

In 2003, Dre Allen released his first solo album, L.Y.F.E.. This album sold over 240,000 copies through online stores and other special ways. Around this time, he married Dawn Robinson, who was a singer in the group En Vogue. She even joined him on his next album, Ghetto Rockstar. His third album, Recovery, was released in 2010 with his band "The Dre Allen Project". This album sold 10,000 copies.

The song was later used to launch a new online mobile content service in Canada. It was also part of a big deal with Doritos.
