Meet the Founder: Samrat Reddy
Samrat Reddy, born on April 15, 1985, is an Indian business person. He started Drunken Monkey in 2016. He created the brand's catchy phrase, 'Naturally High'.
Reddy studied electrical engineering in Chennai and finished his degree in 2006. He then worked as an engineer in Melbourne, Australia, for about a year. After that, he went to the University of Strathclyde in Scotland. There, he earned his MBA degree in Marketing in 2008. For his MBA, he even wrote a special paper about smoothies!
Before starting Drunken Monkey, Reddy worked in several different roles. He was a director at Hestia Studios and SVS International. He also worked as a general manager at Delta Steel Structures Pvt. Ltd. and as a business strategy specialist at Sindhan Designs PVT Ltd.
In 2015, Reddy started trying out different smoothie recipes. He worked to create special mixes for all the company's unique smoothie flavors. He officially started Drunken Monkey in January 2016.
