  • Duck the Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas

Duck Commander is a company in West Monroe, Louisiana, that makes gear for hunting and outdoor fun. It was started in 1972 by Phil Robertson, who was once a football quarterback. Phil invented and patented a special duck call, which is a tool used to make sounds like ducks. He spent 25 years building his business, making duck calls from cedar trees.

Phil and Miss Kay's son, Willie Robertson, is now the company's boss. Willie and his wife Korie helped the business grow a lot. Besides duck hunting items, they also make gear for deer hunting (called Buck Commander), fishing (Fin Commander), and turkey hunting (Strut Commander).

The Robertson family and their business are also famous because of their many TV shows, books, video games, and other media. These include shows like Duck Commander and Duck Dynasty, and even a movie called The Blind about Phil and Kay's early life. The family also has popular podcasts.

Phil Robertson, the founder of Duck Commander, passed away in May 2025.

Duck Commander Products

Duck Commander makes many different products for outdoor activities. They have special gear for hunting ducks, deer, and turkeys, plus items for fishing and even truck accessories.

Duck Calls

How Duck Calls Work

The most famous products from Duck Commander are their duck calls. These are like small wind instruments that hunters use to attract ducks. To use them well, you need to learn about their special parts, especially the reeds.

Popular Duck Calls

Some of their popular duck calls include the original Duck Commander call, the Jase Robertson Pro Series, and the Triple Threat. They also make special calls like The Flash Mallard Hen Duck Call.

Face Camo

Duck Commander also sells Face Camo, which is a special face paint. Hunters use it to blend in with their surroundings. It's also used by athletes and actors because it doesn't smudge easily.

Buck Commander Gear

Buck Commander is a brand for deer hunting. They sell useful items like cutting boards for chefs and different types of deer calls. These calls include the Lil' Doe Bleat can call and the Honcho Grunt Call.

Strut Commander Gear

For turkey hunting, they have the Strut Commander brand. This includes various turkey calls like mouth calls, slate calls, and box calls.

Fin Commander Gear

The Fin Commander brand is all about fishing. They sell individual fishing lures and fish hooks for different kinds of fish, like pan fish, bass, and trout. They also offer fishing kits, such as the Crappie Magnet Kit.
