The Dumont Hills are a small mountain range found in the Mojave Desert. This desert is located in the northeastern part of San Bernardino County, in southern California. These hills are not very tall, making them a "low" mountain range.

Where are the Dumont Hills?

The Dumont Hills are located in a dry, desert area. They sit just east of the southern part of the Amargosa River. This river eventually flows west towards Death Valley. The hills are also found to the east of the southern section of Death Valley National Park. This means they are close to one of the hottest places on Earth!

What makes the Dumont Hills interesting?

Even though the Dumont Hills are small, they are part of the vast and amazing Mojave Desert. This desert is known for its unique plants and animals that can survive in very dry conditions. The hills themselves are a quiet place, away from big cities. They offer a glimpse into the natural beauty and rugged landscape of the desert.
