Getting to East Caroga Lake is easy for visitors. There is a special beach launch area. This launch is part of the NYSDEC (New York State Department of Environmental Conservation) campground. You can find it on NY-29A. The campground is about 9 miles (14 km) northwest of Gloversville, New York. If you don't have your own boat, don't worry! Boat rentals are available right at the campground.
