The Eastern Bay is a part of the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland. It's located between Queen Anne's County, Maryland and Talbot County, Maryland. This area is often called the Eastern Shore.
This bay gets its water from smaller rivers. Its main rivers are the Miles River and the Wye River. Eastern Bay is found south of the Chester River and north of the Choptank River. It's even connected to the Chester River through a narrow waterway called Kent Narrows.
A Look Back: The Old Ferry
Long ago, there was a ferry that crossed the Eastern Bay. A company called the Claiborne-Annapolis Ferry Company operated this ferry.
The ferry helped people travel between two towns. These towns were Romancoke and Claiborne. This ferry service stopped running on December 31, 1952.
