You can find Eden along Dodge County Road 16. It's close to where this road meets State Highway 56 (also known as MN 56) and Dodge County Road G. Some nearby places include Dodge Center, Wasioja, and West Concord. A part of the Zumbro River, called the South Branch Middle Fork, flows near Eden.
The Story of Eden
How Eden Got Its Name
Eden was first set up as a stop for trains, known as a railroad station. The people who worked for the railroad chose the name "Eden" for this new stop.
The Cheney Post Office
Even though the community was called Eden, its post office had a different name: Cheney. This post office helped people send and receive mail for many years. It was open from 1886 until 1924.
