Edillilie is a small town located on the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia. It's found along the Tod Highway and the Eyre Peninsula Railway, north of a bigger town called Port Lincoln.
About Edillilie
Edillilie got its name from a nearby stream called Edillilie Creek. The railway station in town was first known as Mortlock Siding.
Grain and Railways
Today, Edillilie still has large buildings called bulk grain silos. These silos are used to store grain, which is a type of crop like wheat. A company called Viterra manages these grain silos. Even though the town still handles grain, passenger train services stopped many years ago.
