Elko was a small city located in Scott County, Minnesota, United States. In the year 2000, about 472 people lived there. In January 2007, Elko joined with another nearby city called New Market. Together, they became one new city known as Elko New Market.

Elko was a small place, covering an area of about 1.4 square miles (3.5 square kilometers). All of this area was land, meaning there were no large lakes or rivers within the city limits. It was a quiet, landlocked community.
