Emre's Club Journey
Starting His Career
When Emre was 16, in December 2013, he had a trial with Saint-Étienne. However, he did not get a contract with the team.
Mor played for Lyngby's U17 and U19 youth teams. He left the club in January 2015. The club mentioned that his talent could not be fully developed there. Later, it was reported that he faced some challenges with his behavior during that time.
Playing for FC Nordsjælland
On January 31, 2015, Emre Mor signed a contract with FC Nordsjælland. Many other clubs wanted him, but he chose Nordsjælland. He was first meant to play for their U19 team.
Mor made his first official appearance for FCN on November 28, 2015. He came into the game as a substitute in the 84th minute. This was during a Danish Superliga match against Randers FC. In the very next league game, Mor started for the team against Brøndby IF. His good performance earned him a new contract. He was promoted to the first team squad starting in January 2016.
Time at Borussia Dortmund
Borussia Dortmund announced they had signed Emre Mor on June 7, 2016. He signed a five-year contract with the German club.
During his time there, it was reported that Dortmund had some concerns about his behavior. They also wanted him to fit in better with the team. He played in 12 games in the Bundesliga and UEFA Champions League during the 2016–17 season. He usually came on as a substitute.
Moving to Celta Vigo
On August 29, 2017, Mor joined Spanish club Celta Vigo. The transfer cost €13 million. This made him the second most expensive player Celta had ever signed.
He started only one league game for the club until mid-December. He played only 384 minutes in total. In April 2018, Mor was late for training. This happened after he had been left out of the team for two games. His coach, Unzué, said Mor needed to improve his attitude. Mor later apologized on Twitter, saying he would try his best to get back into the team.
After this, Mor trained by himself for a while. Less than a month later, in May 2018, he was sent home early from training again. He did not play for the rest of that season.
The 2018-19 season started similarly. Mor played only 38 minutes in the first eight league games. In January 2019, he was again left out of training due to his behavior. He was not part of the team for over a month. Celta gave him another chance in late February 2019, and he returned to team training.

Playing for His Country

Emre Mor played for Denmark's youth teams: U17, U18, and U19. However, in 2016, he decided to play for the Turkish Football Federation.
Mor was called up to the Turkey U21 team. He played in a qualification match for the 2017 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualification.
Mor made his first senior appearance for Turkey in May 2016. This was in a game against Montenegro. He was chosen for the Turkey senior team's squad for UEFA Euro 2016. This made him one of the youngest players in the tournament. He came on as a substitute in Turkey's first Euro 2016 game against Croatia.
