Enner Remberto Valencia Lastra (born on November 4, 1989) is a professional football player from Ecuador. He plays as a forward for the club Internacional in Brazil. He is also the captain of the Ecuador national team.
Enner has played for many teams. He started with Emelec in Ecuador. There, he helped them win the 2013 Ecuadorian Serie A league. He was also the top scorer in the Copa Sudamericana in 2013. Later, he moved to Pachuca in Mexico. He became the top scorer in the Liga MX in 2014.
In 2014, Enner joined the English club West Ham United. He then played for Everton on loan. After that, he went back to Mexico to play for Tigres UANL. With Tigres, he won two Liga MX tournaments. He was also the top scorer in the 2019 CONCACAF Champions League. In 2020, he moved to Fenerbahçe in Turkey. He won the Turkish Cup with them. In 2023, he joined Internacional in Brazil.
Enner Valencia is a very important player for Ecuador. He has played over 90 games for his country since 2012. He played in the FIFA World Cup in 2014 and 2022. Enner Valencia's Club Journey
Starting with Emelec
Enner Valencia began his football journey in 2008. He joined Emelec in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Before that, he played in the youth system of Caribe Junior. At first, he didn't get to play much for the main team. But when coach Jorge Sampaoli arrived, Enner started getting chances.
In 2011, Enner scored nine goals in 30 league games. In 2012, he scored 13 goals in 40 games. This was his best season yet. On August 7, 2013, Enner scored three goals in one game. This is called a hat-trick. It was against Sport Huancayo in the 2013 Copa Sudamericana. That season, Emelec won the league championship. It was their first league title since 2002.
Moving to Pachuca
After his success in Ecuador, Enner moved to Mexico. He joined the Liga MX team Pachuca in 2014. On January 18, 2014, he scored his first goal for Pachuca. It was in a 2–1 win against Tijuana. Joining the Premier League

First Season in Turkey

Enner Valencia first played for Ecuador's under-22 team in 2011. He made his debut for the main Ecuador team on February 12, 2012. It was a friendly game against Honduras.
Enner started as a winger. But his coach at Emelec, Gustavo Quinteros, changed him to a striker. This change helped him score more goals. He scored his first international goal on November 19, 2013, against Honduras. In 2014, he scored in three of Ecuador's friendly games before the World Cup.

Enner Valencia comes from Esmeraldas Province in Ecuador. He is of Afro-Ecuadorian descent. He grew up in a family that didn't have much money. When he first joined Emelec, he sometimes had to sleep at the club's stadium. He also struggled to buy enough food.
