Eric Wareheim's Career in Comedy and More

Tim & Eric Comedy Duo

Eric Wareheim and Tim Heidecker are the creators, writers, and stars of a show called Tom Goes to the Mayor. This show used a simple animation style and was shown on the Adult Swim part of Cartoon Network. Wareheim and Heidecker sent early versions of their show to comedian Bob Odenkirk. He liked it and helped them sell it to Cartoon Network.

The comedy duo became even more well-known with their show Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, which started on February 11, 2007. Their website described the show as a mix of "live action, sketch, animation, emotions, phone calls, love, etc." The creators also called it the "nightmare version of television."

In July 2008, The New York Times reported that Tim and Eric were working on a strange game show with Neil Hamburger. Wareheim said it was like a mix of a "bizarre Japanese game show and The Price Is Right." However, the pilot episode was filmed but not picked up by Adult Swim.

The "Man Milk" episode of Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! finished its fifth season on May 2, 2010. After that, they released a special holiday episode called "Chrimbus Special." This was the last time fans saw new episodes of the show.

Between May and June 2010, six episodes of a spin-off show called Check It Out! with Dr. Steve Brule aired. Wareheim helped produce this show, which made fun of local news programs. John C. Reilly had the idea to give the Dr. Steve character his own show.
