Evan's Story: A Look Back
Evan has an interesting history! A place to send and receive mail, called a post office, was opened in Evan in 1886. It stayed open for a long time, until 1993.
The city itself was planned out in 1887. This planning is called "platting." Evan officially became a city in 1904. It was named after Eva, the wife of the very first postmaster.
