Football Club Dordoi Bishkek is a professional football club from Kyrgyzstan. They are based in Bishkek and play in the top football league there, the Kyrgyz Premier League. The club started in 1997. It is owned by the "Dordoi" Association, which also owns the famous Dordoi Bazaar in Bishkek.
History of the Club
FC Dordoi was founded in 1997. Over the years, the club has had several managers. In November 2015, Anarbek Ormombekov became the manager. However, he was replaced by Ruslan Sydykov in June 2016 because of poor results. Later that year, Murat Dzhumakeev stepped in as acting head coach for some international matches.
In June 2017, Aleksandr Krestinin took over as manager. He led the team to win both the Premier League and the League Cup in 2018. Because of this success, his contract was extended until the end of 2020.
In March 2019, Dordoi signed a sponsorship deal with the Nurzaman construction company. This partnership lasted for the 2019 and 2020 seasons.
After Krestinin's contract ended, Murat Dzhumakeyev became the new Head Coach in December 2021. In November 2022, Zakir Dzhalilov was appointed for the 2023 season. He left the club in November 2023.
Currently, Maxim Lisitsyn is the Head Coach, appointed in December 2023.
Club Names Over Time
The club has changed its name a few times since it started:
- 1997: It was first called FC Dordoi Naryn.
- 1998: It changed to FC Dordoi-Zhashtyk-SKIF Naryn.
- 1999: It went back to FC Dordoi Naryn.
- 2004: It became FC Dordoi-Dynamo Naryn.
- 2010: Finally, it was renamed FC "Dordoi".

FC Dordoi Bishkek has a very successful history in football. They have won many titles both in Kyrgyzstan and in Asia.
In Kyrgyzstan
Dordoi has won the Kyrgyzstan League (the top national league) an amazing 13 times! They were champions in:
- 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021.
They have also won the Kyrgyzstan Cup 10 times:
- 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2018.
And the Kyrgyzstan Super Cup 6 times:
- 2012, 2013, 2014, 2019, 2021, and 2022.
In Asia
Dordoi has also done well in international competitions. They won the AFC President's Cup twice:
- 2006 and 2007.
This cup was a competition for football clubs from developing Asian countries. They have also played in the AFC Cup, another important Asian club competition.

Notable Managers
Many talented managers have led FC Dordoi Bishkek. Some of the most successful include:
- Boris Podkorytov: He managed the team in 2004-2005 and again in 2006-2007. During his time, Dordoi won the Kyrgyzstan League three times, the Kyrgyzstan Cup twice, and the AFC President's Cup twice.
- Sergey Dvoryankov: He was the manager from 2008 to 2013. Under his leadership, the club won the Kyrgyzstan League four times and the Kyrgyzstan Cup three times.
- Zaviša Milosavljević: He managed the team in 2014-2015, winning the Kyrgyzstan League and Kyrgyzstan Cup once each.
- Aleksandr Krestinin: From 2017 to 2021, he led Dordoi to win the Kyrgyz Premier League four times, the Kyrgyzstan Cup twice, and the Kyrgyzstan Super Cup twice.
