Ferodale is a quiet, countryside area in New South Wales, Australia. It is part of the Port Stephens Council local government area. A big part of Ferodale is taken up by Grahamstown Dam. This dam is super important because it holds most of the drinking water for the lower Hunter Region.

Where is Ferodale Located?

Ferodale is found just east of the Pacific Highway. This is a major road in Australia. It's also north of Richardson Road, which connects Raymond Terrace and Port Stephens.

Roads and Access

The area is split by Medowie Road. This road helps connect the Pacific Highway to a nearby town called Medowie. Even though Ferodale is next to Raymond Terrace, people living there are actually closer to Medowie for shops and services.

Grahamstown Lake: A Big Part of Ferodale

Almost half of Ferodale's total area is covered by Grahamstown Lake. This huge lake and the land around it make up about 39 square kilometres (15 square miles) of the suburb. It's a really important place for water storage.
