A Look Back: Flint Hill's History
Flint Hill was officially started in 1838 by a person named Captain Taliferro P. Grantham. The community got its name from a place called Flint Hill, Rappahannock County, Virginia. This was where many of the first people who settled here came from. A post office, which helps send and receive mail, has been open in Flint Hill since 1836.
Where is Flint Hill?
Flint Hill is located about 2.5 miles (4 km) north of Wentzville. You can find it just east of U.S. Route 61 on Missouri Route P. A stream called McCoy Creek flows past the northern side of the city.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city covers a total area of about 2.81 square miles (7.28 square kilometers). All of this area is land.
