The Fox River is a river located in Ontario, Canada. It flows through the Cochrane District in Northeastern Ontario. This river is part of the larger James Bay drainage basin, which means its waters eventually flow into James Bay. It is also a smaller river that flows into the Kabinakagami River.
The River's Journey
The Fox River starts its journey at Fox Lake. This lake is found in an area called Bannerman Township. From Fox Lake, the river flows north.
Passing Through Lakes
As it travels north, the Fox River passes through two smaller lakes. These lakes are called Little Grassy Lake and Bannerman Lake. After leaving Bannerman Township, the river continues its path.
Where the River Ends
The Fox River then turns west and later northwest. Finally, the Fox River reaches its end where it joins the Kabinakagami River. The water from the Kabinakagami River then travels through the Kenogami River and the Albany River. All these rivers eventually carry their water to James Bay.
