Frank Dominick Clark (born June 14, 1993) is an American professional football player. He is known as a strong linebacker and has earned the nickname "the Shark." Frank played college football for the Michigan Wolverines. He was chosen by the Seattle Seahawks in the second round of the 2015 NFL draft. He has also played for the Denver Broncos and the Kansas City Chiefs. With the Chiefs, he won two Super Bowls. Frank Clark is famous for his amazing performance in playoff games, where he has recorded 13.5 sacks, which is one of the highest totals in NFL history.

Early Life and High School Football
Frank Clark grew up in Bakersfield, California, and was born on June 14, 1993. He later moved to Cleveland, Ohio. In high school, Frank played football at Glenville High School. He was a very versatile player, meaning he could play many different positions. His coaches thought he was best suited to play as an outside linebacker or defensive end. However, Frank was most interested in playing safety.
High School Achievements
During his senior year, Frank was a star on defense. He made 70 tackles and had 19 sacks. A sack is when a defensive player tackles the opposing team's quarterback behind the line of scrimmage. On offense, he caught 12 passes, and three of them were for touchdowns.
Frank was also a talented track & field athlete. He competed in sprints, hurdles, and jumps. He was very fast, running the 40-yard dash in just 4.53 seconds. This speed helped him a lot on the football field.
Frank was considered a top player in the country for outside linebacker, tight end, and defensive end. He decided to play college football for the Michigan Wolverines and signed his commitment on February 2, 2011.

College Career at Michigan
As a freshman in 2011, Frank Clark played for the Michigan Wolverines. In the 2012 Sugar Bowl against Virginia Tech, he made an interception that helped set up one of Michigan's touchdowns.
During his first two years at Michigan, Frank gained over 60 pounds of muscle. This made him stronger without making him slower. In 2013, he had a great game against Connecticut, getting 1.5 sacks. One of these sacks was a crucial play that helped Michigan hold onto a close 24–21 lead. He also had two sacks against Penn State and even ran back a fumble recovery for a touchdown. After the season, coaches recognized him as a second-team All-Big Ten player.
Professional Football Career
Frank Clark was a highly anticipated player in the 2015 NFL draft. He showed his athletic skills at the NFL Combine and Michigan's Pro Day.

Seattle Seahawks (First Time)
The Seattle Seahawks picked Frank Clark in the second round of the 2015 NFL draft. He joined the Seahawks' strong defense, known as the Legion of Boom. In his rookie year, he played as a backup defensive end. He recorded his first NFL sack against the Pittsburgh Steelers and had two sacks against the Minnesota Vikings. In the playoffs, he also got a sack against the Carolina Panthers.
In the 2016 season, Frank had a fantastic year, finishing with 10 sacks and two forced fumbles. He continued to be a key player for the Seahawks in 2017, getting nine sacks. In 2018, he had an outstanding game against the Oakland Raiders, recording 2.5 sacks. He ended that season with 13 sacks, which was a career high for him. Because of his great performance, the Seahawks placed the franchise tag on him in March 2019.
Kansas City Chiefs
On April 23, 2019, Frank Clark was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs. After the trade, he signed a big five-year contract. He quickly made an impact with the Chiefs. In his first game, he intercepted a pass against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He recorded his first sack with the Chiefs against the Baltimore Ravens. Later in the season, he had two sacks against the Denver Broncos. He finished the 2019 regular season with 37 tackles, eight sacks, and three forced fumbles.
Super Bowl Champion
Frank Clark was a huge part of the Chiefs' success in the playoffs. In the Divisional Round against the Houston Texans, he sacked the quarterback three times. In the AFC Championship Game against the Tennessee Titans, he made a game-ending sack that sealed the Chiefs' victory. He continued his amazing playoff performance in Super Bowl LIV against the San Francisco 49ers, recording another sack. The Chiefs won the Super Bowl, making Frank Clark a champion!
In the 2020 season, Frank continued to play well, getting six sacks. In the AFC Championship Game against the Buffalo Bills, he had two sacks, helping the Chiefs win again. They reached Super Bowl LV, but unfortunately lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
In 2021, Frank was selected to his third Pro Bowl, showing he was still one of the best players at his position. In 2022, he even recorded his first career safety against the San Francisco 49ers. He was crucial in the Chiefs' playoff run that year, getting a sack against the Jaguars and 2.5 sacks against the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship. The Chiefs then went on to win Super Bowl LVII against the Philadelphia Eagles, giving Frank his second Super Bowl ring!
On March 7, 2023, the Chiefs released Frank Clark.
Denver Broncos
Frank Clark signed with the Denver Broncos on June 13, 2023. He played in five games for the Broncos before being released on October 14, 2023.
Seattle Seahawks (Second Time)
On October 26, 2023, Frank Clark returned to the Seattle Seahawks, signing a one-year deal. He played in six games before being waived by the team on December 30.
