Frank Sinatra's Albums

Studio Albums: His Main Recordings

In 1948, Columbia Records introduced the LP album. Before this, albums were collections of 78s (older, larger records) put together in a booklet. These usually had no more than four records. Many of Sinatra's Capitol studio albums were later re-released. For example, they appeared in the 1992 collection Concepts and the 1998 album The Capitol Years.

1940s and 1950s Albums

Frank Sinatra released many popular albums in his early career. These albums helped make him a superstar. Many of them reached high spots on the music charts.
