Gabby Bernadette Barrett (born March 5, 2000) is a talented American country music singer. She became well-known after finishing third on the TV show American Idol in 2018. Her first song, "I Hope", was a huge success. It was the first time in years that a solo female country singer had a song reach the top 10 on the Hot Country Songs chart. This song also became a top three hit on the main Billboard Hot 100 chart. It has sold millions of copies!

Gabby's first album, Goldmine, came out in 2020. Many people in country music think she is a rising star.

Early Life and First Steps in Music

Gabby Barrett grew up in Munhall, Pennsylvania. She is one of eight children. She went to Serra Catholic High School for a while, then switched to online schooling.

Gabby started singing when she was just nine years old. By age eleven, she was already performing in shows. In 2014, when she was 14, she won a talent competition called Kean Quest. Her father encouraged her to sing in a choir, which led her to join a Christian music group.

"I Hope" quickly became a massive hit. It reached number one on several Billboard country music charts. In 2020, a new version of the song was released, featuring pop star Charlie Puth. This helped the song climb even higher, reaching number three on the overall Billboard Hot 100 chart. This was a big deal, as Gabby was the first female country artist to have a song reach that high since Taylor Swift.

Her first album, Goldmine, was released on June 19, 2020. It broke records for streaming, becoming the most-streamed debut country album by a woman in its first week. Gabby has also toured with famous country artists like Toby Keith, Keith Urban, Thomas Rhett, and the Zac Brown Band. She has also sung the national anthem for the Pittsburgh Steelers and at the Daytona 500.

Gabby has won several awards for her music. These include Breakthrough Video of the Year at the CMT Music Awards and Top Female Country Artist at the Billboard Music Awards. She also won Favorite Country Album for Goldmine at the American Music Awards.

They have three children. Their first child, a daughter, was born on January 18, 2021. Their second child, a son, was born on October 27, 2022. On February 17, 2024, Gabby gave birth to their third child, another daughter.
