Gary Campbell, born on February 15, 1951, is a well-known former American football player and coach. He is especially famous for his long time as the running backs coach for the University of Oregon football team.

Gary Campbell played college football as a fullback for the UCLA team. He played for UCLA from 1969 to 1973.

Gary Campbell had a long and successful coaching career. He started coaching right after his playing days. He worked with several college teams before joining the University of Oregon.
