Georgetown is a small town located in Madison County, New York, United States. In 2010, about 974 people lived here. The Town of Georgetown is found near the southern edge of Madison County.

Georgetown was first settled by people around the year 1804. It officially became a town in 1815. This happened when it was separated from the Town of DeRuyter.

A special building called the Spirit House was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2006. This means it's an important historical place.
