In the 2005–06 season, a new Brazilian goalkeeper named Doni took his place. Curci signed a new four-year contract with Roma on 16 July 2007.
Time at Siena
On 25 June 2008, Siena signed Curci in a shared ownership deal with Roma. Curci played very well in his matches for Siena. He helped Siena win against Roma with a score of 1–0. He also stopped Genoa from scoring many goals.
Curci also played impressively in the "Tuscan Derby" against Fiorentina. He made three amazing saves, helping Siena win that game 1–0.
Moving to Sampdoria
On 1 July 2010, Sampdoria bought Siena's share of Curci's ownership. Roma kept their share. Curci played for Sampdoria in a match to qualify for the Champions League. However, his team lost to Werder Bremen.
Curci was a very important player for Sampdoria during the 2010–11 season. He made many crucial saves for the club. He was always playing and was the team's main goalkeeper.
Returning to Roma
On 24 June 2011, Roma bought Curci back from Sampdoria. He signed a three-year deal with Roma. On 22 April 2012, Curci came into a Serie A match against Juventus. This happened after Roma's starting goalkeeper, Maarten Stekelenburg, received a red card.
