In August 2010, Gilbert joined Cruzeiro, a big club in Brazil. Even though he didn't play for their main team, it was a great experience. He continued to develop his skills there.

A year later, in August 2011, Gilbert thought about playing in Europe. His agent was talking to clubs in Germany and Italy. This shows how much potential he had, even at a young age!

Later in his career, on November 25, 2023, Gilbert joined Arema, a club in Indonesia. However, he decided to leave the club early on March 7, 2024. He wanted to be closer to his family, which is very understandable.

In that tournament, he scored three goals! One time, he scored two goals against Ecuador under-17s. This helped his team a lot.

Later in 2009, when he was just 17 years old, Gilbert was called up to the senior Bolivia side. This is a huge achievement for such a young player! He played his first game for the senior team against Venezuela. This was a qualifying match for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

He played another game the next year in February 2010. It was a friendly match against Mexico.

Scoring for His Country

Gilbert has scored 5 goals for the Bolivia national team. His first goal was against Nicaragua in 2017. He scored another goal against Nicaragua in the same year. He also scored against Peru in a World Cup qualification match. His other goals were in friendly games against Venezuela and Haiti.
