Gisela Lladó Cánovas (born 1 January 1979), known simply as Gisela, is a Spanish pop singer and voice actress. She was born in El Bruc, near Barcelona, in Catalonia, Spain. Before becoming famous, she studied journalism at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
Gisela became well-known after finishing eighth in the first Spanish edition of Operación Triunfo in 2001. This was a popular TV singing competition. She is also famous for representing Andorra in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 in Belgrade, Serbia.

Music Career After Operación Triunfo
Gisela's first album, Parte De Mí, was released in Spain in 2002. It sold 260,000 copies very quickly. That same year, she sang as a backing vocalist for her friend Rosa López at the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 in Tallinn.
In 2003, Gisela won an award for best voice at the Viña del Mar International Song Festival. She also won the competition with her song Este Amor Es Tuyo.
Her second album, Más Allá, came out in 2003. It included popular songs like Más Allá (which also had a Catalan version called Més enllà) and the number one hit Sola. In 2003, her version of "What a Feeling" by Irene Cara was used in a TV commercial in the United Kingdom.
Gisela's older brother, Joan, is her manager. In 2020, Gisela performed live at The Academy Awards in Los Angeles. She sang the Spanish part of the song "Into The Unknown" from the movie Frozen II.
Ni te lo imaginas Album
Gisela's third album, Ni te lo imaginas, was released in 2006. It was her first album with a new record company, Filmax. The album had four singles. Two of these, Turu-Turu and Mi mundo eres tú, became her most successful songs at that time.
Turu-Turu was a pop ballad that reached number one in Spain in its second week. Filmax later released a special edition of the album. This version included two new songs: Mi mundo eres tú and Viviré en tus sueños.
Eurovision 2008 Performance
Gisela was chosen to represent Andorra in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008. Her song was called "Casanova". She competed in the first semi-final on 20 May 2008.
Even though she performed well, she did not make it to the final. She finished 16th out of 19 entries with 22 points. However, her song "Casanova" was still very popular. It reached number two on the music charts in Spain.
Voice Acting in Films
Gisela is also a talented voice actress. She has lent her voice to many popular Disney movies for the Spanish versions.
- In 2002, she was in Peter Pan 2.
- In 2003, she voiced a character in Beauty and the Beast.
- She was the singing voice of Erika in Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper (2004).
- She was the singing voice of Giselle in Enchanted (2007). She did this in both Castilian Spanish and Catalan.
- She is the singing voice of Elsa in Frozen (2013) and Frozen II. She also voiced Elsa in both Castilian Spanish and Catalan.
Gisela has also worked on other Spanish films. These include The Hairy Tooth Fairy (2006) and its sequel (2008). She was also in Snowflake, the White Gorilla (2011) and Serie B (2012).
On 9 February 2020, Gisela joined Idina Menzel and other international voice actors. They performed the song “Into the Unknown” at the 92nd Academy Awards. Each singer sang one line of the song in a different language. Gisela sang her part in European Spanish.
