Glasgow is a small town in West Virginia, a state in the United States. It's located right next to the Kanawha River in Kanawha County. In 2020, about 708 people lived there. The town officially became a town on June 20, 1920.

Some people think Glasgow was named after a "glass company" that used to be there. However, many Scottish people settled in this area, especially from a part of Scotland called Strathclyde. This makes it much more likely that the town was named after the famous city of Glasgow in Scotland. Other places in West Virginia and Virginia also have names from the Strathclyde region, like Dumbarton and Lanark.
