History of Graham
Graham was first planned out in 1856. At that time, it was called Jacksonville. The city was later renamed in honor of Colonel Amos Graham. He was a local clerk who helped the area grow.
A post office opened in Graham in 1852. It has served the community for many years.
An important building in Graham is Simpson's College. This historic site was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. This means it's a special place worth preserving.
