Grant is nestled in the Front Range foothills. Foothills are the smaller hills at the base of a mountain range. It's located in the upper valley of the North Fork South Platte River.

You can find Grant about 6 miles (10 km) east of Kenosha Pass. It sits right along U.S. Route 285. This highway is about 40 miles (64 km) southwest of Denver.

The community of Grant mainly has a retired general store and a post office. You'll also see houses and trailers nearby. These buildings are mostly along the south side of the highway and the north side of the river. The Grant Post Office uses the ZIP Code 80448.

Grant is also located where Geneva Creek flows into the river. This creek comes down from the Front Range mountains. A road called County Road 62 follows this creek north. It leads up to Guanella Pass, which then goes to Georgetown. Georgetown is in the canyon of Clear Creek.
