Greenwood is a small community in Hennepin County, Minnesota, United States. It is located on Saint Albans Bay, which is part of the large Lake Minnetonka. You can find it just northeast of the community of Excelsior, Minnesota. In 2020, the population of Greenwood was 726 people.

Greenwood was once a part of Excelsior Township. In 1956, it officially became its own independent city. This means it started to govern itself.
