Grimmtastic Girls facts for kids
The Grimmtastic Girls is a fun series of eight books for kids. Joan Holub and Suzanne Williams wrote them. Scholastic Inc. published the books between 2014 and 2016. These stories are based on famous Grimm's Fairytales and other classic tales. Each book focuses on a different fairytale character. Some main characters include Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, and Snow White.
The series takes place at Grimm Academy, a boarding school in Grimmlandia. Here, these brave girls navigate middle school life. They are chosen by special magic charms. They also work together to stop the sneaky plans of the E.V.I.L. Society.

Cinderella's Story
Cinderella, also called Cinda, is a new student at Grimm Academy. She is a tomboy who loves the sport of masketball. Cinda doesn't like dancing or fashion much. After her mother passed away, her dad married again. Her stepmother had two spoiled children, Malorette and Odette, known as the Steps. The Steps cause a lot of trouble for Cinda. They try to trick her and blame her for their bad deeds.
In the first book, Cinderella Stays Late, Cinda starts school. She meets her new best friends: Red, Rapunzel, and Snow. She also meets Prince Awesome, who she eventually likes. Cinda is scared to report the Steps' behavior. But when she hears about a dark plan by the E.V.I.L. Society, she takes action. Cinda gets a magic pair of glass slippers. These help her dance at Prince Awesome's ball. She also finds a hidden mapestry. Cinda and her friends use this mapestry to find a magical treasure. This treasure is said to save the school in Rapunzel Cuts Loose.
Rapunzel's Adventure
Rapunzel is a goth girl who is very brave. However, she has a big fear of heights, called acrophobia. Because of this, she lives in the dungeon of Pink Tower. This is instead of the dorms at the top. Rapunzel has super long hair that grows very fast. This is because of a witch's spell. Her magic charm is a black onyx comb. It can make her hair grow on command.
In the book Rapunzel Cuts Loose, she likes Prince Perfect at first. But she learns he only likes her hair. She then falls for Basil, a boy she saved from a bully in first grade. Rapunzel stops the E.V.I.L. Society's plans. She also seals away the witch who raised her. She finds the magical treasure that saves the school.
Red Riding Hood's Journey
Red Riding Hood, or Red, loves to act. But she gets really bad stage fright! Red has curly black hair with red streaks. She always wears a red cape. Her friends love her because she is a great baker. She is magically chosen as the Snack-Maker.
The second book, Red Riding Hood Gets Lost, is told from her point of view. It introduces her roommate Gretel. Gretel is the hero of the last book. Red's magic charm is a brown wicker basket. It can make anything fit inside it appear. Red has a terrible sense of direction. This sometimes makes her late. Wolfgang helps Red overcome her stage fright. They also start to like each other.
Snow White's Luck
Snow White, called Snow, is a shy girl. She is also a bit unlucky. She likes to keep things tidy. In Cinderella Stays Late, she helps Cinda clean her hearth. Snow has pale skin, short black hair, and green eyes. Her mother died when Snow was very young. Her father then married Ms. Wicked. When Snow was six, her father died. This left Snow with her mean stepmom who didn't like her. Ms. Wicked became a teacher at Grimm Academy.
The third book, Snow White Lucks Out, is from Snow's view. Snow is allergic to all fruits. She strongly believes in lucky charms. She always wears a clover charm. Like her mother, Snow is good at dancing and sewing. She wishes she could have learned from her mother. Snow likes Prince Prince, her story's prince. Her lucky charm is a golden tiara with seven turquoise jewels. The middle jewel can make her invisible when she presses it.
Sleeping Beauty's Challenge
Briar Rose, who goes by Rose, is a daredevil. Her fairy tale says she must avoid sharp objects after her twelfth birthday. This is hard at Grimm Academy. Many enchanted items can be dangerous. Rose has to stay very awake to avoid trouble.
Goldilocks' Mission
Goldilocks is a new student. She really wants to make friends at Grimm Academy. She is tempted to join E.V.I.L. just to fit in. But Goldie ends up working as a double agent. She helps the Grimm Organization of Defense (G.O.O.D.). She helps them stop the E.V.I.L. Society's plans. She even tries to sneak past three bear guards who enforce curfew.
Snowflake's Identity
Snowflake is the hero of the seventh book, Snowflake Freezes Up. She isn't sure which fairy tale character she is. She spends time in the library searching for her true self. Snowflake is a bit distant to her classmates. She worries she might be a villain and doesn't want to hurt anyone. Her magic charm is a snowflake. Her powers start to cause some problems. She must help fight Jack Frost. She also needs to figure out if Dragonbreath is good or evil.
Gretel's Quest
Gretel loves hiking. She also works on her hiking guide. The last book, Gretel Pushes Back, is from her perspective. She joins the fight for justice. The E.V.I.L. Society must be stopped. In the woods, she finds a candy cottage. Her story shows readers to follow their passions. It also highlights the special bond between siblings, like her relationship with her brother, Hansel.

Prince Awesome
Prince Awesome is the prince of the Kingdom of Awesomeness. He is the prince in Cinderella's story. He is tall and handsome with wavy hair. He is polite and always tries to do what is right. He first appears in Cinderella Stays Late. Principal R introduces him and Cinda as the new kids. He invites everyone to his ball. He doesn't seem to know about the E.V.I.L Society. He is on the masketball team and likes Cinda.
Wolfgang
Wolfgang seems to be a loner. He often hangs out in the Neverwood forest. People say he can shapeshift into a wolf. He has brown hair and grey eyes. He usually wears a wolf-skin cloak. He is first seen in Cinderella Stays Late. He has a bigger role in Red Riding Hood Gets Lost. In that book, you learn he likes Red. Like Red, he enjoys acting. He played a lead role in the school plays Peter and the Wolf and Red Robin Hood. Wolfgang wants to join E.V.I.L. He spies on them to get information. But he is not allowed to join. Wolfgang's biggest fear is becoming evil like his uncles. His great-great-grandmother is Grandmother Enchantress, who he calls Grandtress. She is the sister of the Grimm brothers.
Prince Foulsmell
Prince Foulsmell is a student at Grimm Academy. He has messy brown hair. He smells just fine for a boy. At first, Goldilocks is rude to him. She wants to fit in with the wrong crowd. Prince Foulsmell seems to like Goldilocks. She later becomes his friend. He plays an important part in Goldilocks' mission to stop the E.V.I.L. Society.
Principal Rumplestiltskin
Rumplestiltskin is very small. He is covered in gold dust. He has a quick temper. He is obsessed with alchemy, which is like old magic. He hates hearing his own name. He threatens students with chores and punishments if they say his name. But he can also calm down very quickly.
Jack Frost
Jack Frost is a villain in Snowflake's story.
Dragonbreath
Dragonbreath is a character in Snowflake Freezes Up. He breathes fire. Snowflake must decide if he is good or evil.
Prince Prince
Prince Prince is first introduced in Snow White Lucks Out. He shows interest in Snow White.
