About Grindstone Creek

Grindstone Creek starts its journey at a place called Lake Medad. This lake is located in the city of Burlington. From there, the creek flows west. It quickly enters the city of Hamilton.

Where Does it Flow?

As it continues, the creek turns southwest. It then flows through a community known as Waterdown. Here, something really cool happens! The creek flows over the Niagara Escarpment. This is a big, steep rock face. When the water goes over it, it creates a beautiful waterfall. This waterfall is called Boundary Falls.

After leaving Waterdown, Grindstone Creek goes back into Burlington. It passes through the community of Aldershot. Finally, the creek reaches its end at Hamilton Harbour. This harbour is part of Lake Ontario. The creek flows right next to the famous Royal Botanical Gardens.
